Loading Train at Garibaldi OCSR occasionally runs special excursions that are open to the public.
The following trips are currently scheduled for 2008.

Oregon Coast Steam Adventure
October 4, 2008
October 5, 2008

Once again Rails Northwest has chartered OCSR for an all day excursion. Departing at 10:00 A.M the train will travel north along Tillamook Bay and the Pacific Ocean to Mohler. At Mohler lunch will be served. The train will contiune along the Nehalem river to Salmonberry and return.

Fireworks Spectacular
July 4, 2008

OCSR provides an annual trip to view the fireworks in Rockaway Beach. The train departs at 8:30 P.M. and returns after the show. Ticket prices are as follows. Cab rides will not be offered on this trip.

Adults $15.00
Children (3-10 yrs) $10.00
Children (2 and under) Free

In addition to the fireworks trip we will be running the regular coast excursions on the normal schedule.

Blue Heron Sunset Dinner Train

The Blue Heron French Cheese Company of Tillamook will sponsor a dinner train from Garibaldi to Wheeler. The train will depart Garibaldi at 6:15 P.M. This will be a great chance to dine on a gourmet meal and watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean.

Ticket Price $69.00
Menu
First Course Salad of organic mixed field greens with nut encrusted goat cheese and marionberry vinigarette.
Entree Choice of following:

Herb encrusted rack of lamb with porcini demi-glaze.

Grilled fresh salmon fillet topped with cucumber-dill relish.

Wild mushroom & butternut squash lasagna topped with sage beurre blanc.

All of the above served wil garlic mashed potatos and seasonal vegetables.
Dessert Fallen chocolate souffle with minted whipped cream & chocolate fudge sauce.
