Over the last several years of operation many questions have been asked of our crew. Below are some of the most frequently asked questions and their answers.

Can I cancel my reservation and receive a refund?
          No, OCSR does not usually refund money for reservations. We will reschedule your trip with out penalty.

How early should I make my reservation?
          OCSR will accept reservations up to 24 hours prior to departure.

Can I make reservations for a specific seat?
          Reservations can be made for seating types, not specific seats within a car.

If I take the 12:00 departure do I have to take the 1 PM return trip?
          You may take a later return trip, however you should check with the ticket agent to ensure there will be room for your return.

Are dogs allowed on the train?
          Yes, mild mannered, well behaved dogs are allowed on the tran. They must wear a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for their dog's actions, as well as their messes.

What fuels the locomotive?
          All of the OCSR locomotives are oil fired. We use recycled motor oil.
